This started out as a photoshopped image that I printed out and 'cropped'. On a piece of paper I drew a 9" by 12" frame and within that, I drew 1" boxes. I used the 1" boxes to help in accurately replicating the cropped part of the photoshop image in pencil. The image was intended to be a happy advertisement and was actually turned into a digital image. But I felt that the original pencil drawing looked much better than the final colored digital/pencil advertisement.

This is self-portrait on black paper using white charcoal. I photocopied my face and with the image that printed out, I made a larger and realistic replication of the image. White charcoal on black paper was used for the assignment to help us understand more about light as well as gray-scale colors.

For this assignment, I had to choose two printed images of sculpture busts which were provided by the professor. I first has to fold the images in various ways and match the two faces the best I could and then staple the corners onto a piece of cardboard to make them hold together while I created a larger pencil replication on sketch paper. The main purpose of the assignment was to study depth and shadows, it had to be understood where and in what way the folds were going. I choose the two printed images because the busts were such polar opposites and I thought it'd create an interesting and fun duality.

This is a personal logo design. We had to sketch out our original ideas on paper and then scan and open the sketch in photoshop. The pen tool was used to trace the lines and create a path. Once each path had been closed I was able to fill into the path with color. The intent was to make my initials look as if they'd been formed by clouds but the lines came out much rougher than I'd expected so it looks more like an ariel view of a body of water. Either way I really like how it came out.
